Terms of Service
Last updated: August 6, 2026
The rules for using Findr, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. Written to be read, not to hide things. The parts about subscriptions, the waitlist offer, and liability matter most.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Findr (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Findr (the operator of the Findr app).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using Findr, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
- You have never been convicted of a felony or indictable offense
3. Account Registration
When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. User Conduct & Prohibited Content
You agree to use Findr lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
- Harass, threaten, stalk, abuse, or harm another person
- Post or send content that is violent, hateful, discriminatory, or promotes illegal activity
- Post or send nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content (except where expressly permitted by applicable law and our policies; Findr generally prohibits such content in profiles and messages)
- Share content depicting or promoting violence, self-harm, or exploitation
- Post AI-generated, heavily manipulated, or misleading photos intended to deceive other users
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your age, identity, or intentions
- Solicit money, financial information, passwords, or off-platform payments from other users
- Promote spam, scams, multi-level marketing, or commercial solicitation without authorization
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the Service
- Upload malware or attempt to compromise the Service or other users' accounts
- Circumvent bans, blocks, or safety features
See our Safety Guide for practical tips. Violations may result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent ban.
5. Your Content & License
You are solely responsible for content you post, upload, or send on the Service (“User Content”), including profile photos, bios, messages, and activity posts.
By submitting User Content, you grant Findr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely as necessary to operate, promote, and secure the Service, including for content moderation, safety review, verification, and legal compliance.
You represent that you own or have the rights to all User Content you submit and that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.
6. Content Moderation, Monitoring & Verification
No expectation of privacy for illegal or abusive use. Findr is not an end-to-end encrypted messaging service. You acknowledge that we may access, review, remove, or restrict User Content, including private messages and group chats, when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- Investigate a user report or safety complaint
- Enforce these Terms and our community standards
- Protect users, especially from harassment, fraud, impersonation, or suspected underage use
- Comply with applicable law, including illegal content reporting obligations
- Respond to valid legal process
Profile verification: If you request a verified badge, you agree to submit a live selfie and understand that our team will manually compare it to your profile photos. Verification is discretionary; we may approve, reject, or revoke verification at any time.
Automated tools: We may use automated systems (now or in the future) to help detect spam, fraud, or policy violations. Significant enforcement actions affecting your account are subject to human review where feasible.
Reporting: Users can report profiles, messages, or activities through in-app tools. We review reports and may take action including warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.
7. Enforcement & Account Actions
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice where permitted by law:
- Remove or restrict any User Content
- Issue warnings to your account
- Suspend or permanently ban your account (temporarily or permanently)
- Revoke verification badges
- Restrict discoverability or messaging features
- Preserve and disclose information to law enforcement where required
If your account is suspended or banned, you may not create a new account without our permission. We may notify you of enforcement actions through the app where appropriate.
8. Premium Services & Subscriptions
Findr offers optional paid features (“Findr Premium”) and one-off purchases such as Boosts, Super Likes, and Icebreakers. All purchases are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase. We never receive or store your card details.
Automatic renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- The price and billing period are shown to you in the app before you confirm the purchase, and again by Apple at checkout.
- Apple charges the renewal to your Apple account within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can cancel at any time in your Apple account settings, at the latest 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
- If a free or discounted trial period is offered, any unused part of it lapses when you buy the corresponding subscription.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's terms, so we cannot issue them ourselves. Please contact Apple Support. Statutory rights remain unaffected: consumers in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland who are entitled to a right of withdrawal may exercise it as provided by law. Where a purchase is performed immediately at your express request, the right of withdrawal may lapse once performance has begun.
Consumable items
Boosts, Super Likes, Icebreakers, and similar items are consumed on use, hold no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and are not refundable once used. Unused items expire when your account is deleted.
Changes
We may change the price or the content of paid features. We will notify you of price changes for a running subscription before they take effect, and you may cancel before the change applies.
9. Early-Access Waitlist & Free Premium Offer
Before launch we operate a waitlist on our website. These conditions apply to it and to any free-Premium offer advertised there.
- Signing up is free and does not oblige you to anything. It is not a purchase contract and gives you no claim to the Service being launched.
- The free Premium period for early sign-ups is a voluntary promotional benefit. It is limited in time, limited in the number of participants, has no cash value, and cannot be transferred or paid out.
- The benefit is granted to the account belonging to the phone number you signed up with. If you register the app with a different number, we cannot match your entry.
- Claiming the benefit requires that you register in the app, are at least 18, and accept these Terms.
- We may modify, shorten, or discontinue the promotion at any time, for example if it is abused, if multiple entries come from the same person, or if launch plans change. In that case sign-ups already made lapse without compensation.
- Launch dates and participant figures communicated on the website are plans and estimates, not binding commitments.
- Duplicate, automated, or fraudulent entries may be deleted without notice.
How we handle the data you provide is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. App Store Terms
You obtain the Findr app through the Apple App Store. The following applies in addition:
- These Terms are concluded between you and Findr, not with Apple. Apple is not a party to them.
- Findr, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app, its content, and any support and maintenance. Apple has no obligation to provide support.
- Any warranty claims, product liability claims, claims under consumer protection law, and claims that the app infringes third-party intellectual property rights are directed at Findr, not Apple. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo or listed as a prohibited party, and that you will comply with applicable export control rules.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- Your use of the app must also comply with the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for breach of these Terms, risk to other users, or any other reason permitted by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including licenses granted for moderation records, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER ON OR OFF THE SERVICE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDR AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of the operator in Switzerland.
Consumers: if you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, and you may also bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where the law grants you that right. EU consumers may additionally use out-of-court dispute resolution in their member state.
We first ask you to contact us at info@findrapp.ch, because most issues are resolved that way.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance, except where prohibited by law.
